Fall is bringing an incredible array of exciting, family-friendly events to Auburn! Get out your calendars and save the dates, because you won’t want to miss a single one of these upcoming fall events.

Harvest Festival & Scarecrow Contest

Saturday, October 16, 2021 | 10:00 am - 4:00 pm

The Auburn Harvest Festival takes place at Recreation Park on Saturday, Oct. 16, from 10 am - 4 pm. This family-friendly event is free to attend and features a full day of activities, including:

  • Live music
  • Giant pumpkin contest
  • Scarecrow contest
  • Arts & crafts booths
  • Costume parade
  • Carnival games
  • Pony rides
  • Food & vendor booths
  • Sugar Plump Fairies
  • And more!

Scarecrow Contest

The Scarecrow contest is one of the highlights of the Harvest Festival, and you have the chance to win CASH prizes when you enter your most creative, spine-tingling, or spectacular scarecrow for a chance to win!

Cash prizes include:
Peoples’ Choice: $500 prize
Judges’ 1st Place: $300
Judges’ 2nd Place: $200
Judges’ 3rd Place: $100

Pirate Scarecrow at ARD Scarecrow Contest

The scarecrows will be on display at Recreation Park on the day of the Harvest festival, and after the event, you can see them displayed throughout the Downtown and Old Town locations for the rest of October.

There is still time to register and enter your scarecrow for the competition! Fill out the registration form and email it to Mark Brunner: mbrunner@auburnrec.com. You can also bring your registration form on the day of the festival. To be eligible to win, scarecrows must be installed between 7:30 am and 9:30 am before the festival begins on Saturday.

Auburn Co-op: Downtown

Thursday, October 21, 2021 | 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Come celebrate the final Auburn Co-op event of the season in Downtown Auburn on Thursday, October 21 from 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm. 

Celebrate the season with a fall-themed co-op featuring beer and wine by Moonraker, Crooked Lane, PaZa, Vina Castellano, and Happy Dayz. Look out for 3 signature cocktails to celebrate the occasion, too.

The Auburn Co-op is a free event that’s fun for the whole family, so come out and celebrate the music, food, and artisan vendors that make Auburn unique. 

Safe Trick or Treat

Friday, October 29, 2021 | 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Safe Trick or Treat is back! Bring your adorable princesses, scary ghouls, and brave superheroes to the merchants of Downtown and Old Town Auburn and let them safely trick or treat. 

Take a leisurely stroll through the restaurants, shops, and businesses in these two districts and enjoy this safe and family-friendly event. Come in costume and have some fun while our business owners fill your buckets with treats!
